Millions of years ago the intense heat of the sun baked the Earth's primordial oceans. The solar energy that evaporated the primal oceans was stored in the remaining sea salt, along with 84 essential minerals and trace elements. For over 250 million years, this salt lay buried under the Himalayan Mountains, where it crystallized under the enormous pressure. Sole, pronounced "So-lay", from the Latin word for sun, Sol, is a solution formed by dissolving Himalayan crystal salt in purified alkaline water (pH 9.5). Sole means "liquid sunlight" and contains the sun's healing energy in its unique crystal structure.
